This oath to swear to support the eventual gop candidate really bugs me. Way to many people are ok with this, the reasoning seems to be that even if you are fully opposed to the candidate you should spport him to get rid of Obama instead of voting for who you support.IOW votes and oaths are political fodder to be tossed around without really meaning a damn thing. And what bugs me most is people saying if you don't want to actually support the candidate, just violate your oath since its just words.Well, when an elected official swears an oath to uphold the constitution its just words too, will these same people be fine with a candidate violating that oath? Are these same people ok with lying on the stand in a court of law?If I were in VA I could not vote in the primary, I cannot take an oath that I know I may have to violate. And the 2 candidates on the VA primary ballots are actually the very 2 that would cause me to violate it. I will not vote for either Romney or Paul.Thats my oath.
